Fragments found on the beach this morning. The old pier burnt down 17 years ago.

Work in progress
Exploring symmetry
Buzz crept into the studio this morning, he doesn't usually stay too long, I think it's too untidy for him.
This is a section of a previous sculpture that collapsed as I was working on it because of the weight and weakness of the structure. Iām now working on a new modular version that is much more interesting. It's good to learn from past mistakes. With a few repairs this piece will be ready for an application of concrete.
The acrylic paint works much better after a base coat of Yacht varnish to seal the concrete.
Looking through some old work, this is from a YouTube demo.
Application of Yacht varnish to provide a better surface for the acrylic paint.
Experimenting with cast and carved concrete, cast sections from sand moulds then carved with a sharp knife when the concrete was at the green stage.
Acrylic paint application, thin layers various colours.
Early this morning Buzz found a spot to enjoy some sun, view from the studio.
Oil on canvas (has similarities to the sculpture Iām currently working on)
