Youtube videos

Todays video is another monochrome monoprint, using oil paint on 270gsm paper (colours used Prussian Blue and Vandyke Brown mix).

Here you see abstract figures emerging from the mark making process. I use masks at the beginning to form the shapes but then improvised the composition trying not to overwork this.

I will continue this series of videos this week then move on to another technique for next weeks videos.

New YouTube videos

I’m starting to post short unedited videos on my YouTube channel. I want to make them as simple as possible, no edits, no timelapse, no description or voice over, some background music may be used but each video will be as close to possible as an example of how I work in my studio. These will be filmed and posted on the same day and will show various techniques, not really instructional demos but hopefully something to inspire. They won't always be abstract and from time to time I will post longer videos. All work will be available from the website shop.
